Submissions for invited sessions are welcome, particularly those discussing future directions for research, or those based on novel applications of Computational Intelligence research. Also welcome are sessions that facilitate collaboration and interaction between participants, academic and industry research on cutting-edge topics of Computational Intelligence. The workshop runs as a single-track event, and will consist of regular sessions, special sessions and keynote talks. Special session papers will be published within the workshop proceedings.
Submissions for the approved special sessions (listed below) must be done following the instructions for workshop papers, available at here. Authors are encouraged to contact the special session organisers on their submission.
Session 1: Intelligent Technologies for Healthcare and Behaviour AnalysisProf Rami Qahwaji, School of Engineering and Informatics, University of Bradford
Dr Waleed Al Nuaimy, School of Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Computer Science, University of Liverpool
This special session covers the development of intelligent computational technologies for healthcare and behaviour analysis applications. We welcome contributions in the fields of medical imaging, Computer-Aided Diagnosis, human gait analysis, recognition of motion patterns, visualisation of medical data, medical data mining, fatigue detection, monitoring/characterisation of the behaviour, and movement of living beings and other technologies/applications in relevant fields. This session will highlight the multidisciplinary nature and the recent advances in these disciplines.
Applications for special sessions are encouraged to be submitted by email to UKCI2014@bradford.ac.uk Please include the special session chair(s), topic and a brief description of the research community it will target. The submission deadline is: 05 May 2014.
